First lets start with what is a protective style? A protective style is a hairstyle that tucks away your hair and keeps it free from manipulation.

Now, protective styles have to be done right or they can cause more damage than good. Super tight styles, super small styles, super big styles, and ones that simply aren't installed right can damage your hair.
